The Junior League of Houston, Inc. 2020 – 2021 Volunteer and Budget Request Form

The Junior League of Houston, Inc.'s 2020 – 2021 Volunteer and Budget Request Form is for those organizations that are a part of the League's Community Program. The form is due electronically by Monday, July 1, 2019, at 11:59 p.m.

Please have the following available in PDF format to upload:

  • Board of Directors or Trustees listing
  • Current organizational operating budget
  • Budget for specific program/project to be funded
  • Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 990 for the most recent fiscal year
  • Audited financials for the most recent fiscal year
  • Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Tax Determination Letter

Please note the application must be completed in one sitting; the form does not allow you to save an in-progress application. Applications will not be accepted via mail, fax, hand-delivery or email.

Volunteer Request/Program Support

Program Support: Defined as the dollars necessary to sustain the League project at the agency. Program support is related to League volunteer activities.

For example: Agency requests $400 to support background checks of 80 volunteers, which is $5 per volunteer as the background check costs $5 per person. Please be as specific as possible. Please specifically note any costs associated with food that volunteers eat during their time at the agency or t-shirt/attire that volunteers must wear.

 

Grant Support Narrative

Grant support is defined as the dollars not necessary to sustain the League volunteers and placement(s) at the agency. These requests can be related or unrelated to the activities of League volunteers.

All salary requests should be considered as Grant Support. All supplemental information, as found on the "Salary Questionnaire" handout from the agency transition meeting folder, should be completed and submitted as a single PDF. If you do not have the "Salary Questionnaire," please contact the Community Vice President at community_vp@jlh.org.

Please note: to be eligible to receive grant support, an organization must be a Junior League of Houston community project for at least three years. If you have any questions about your organization's eligibility to receive grant funding, please contact the Community Vice President at community_vp@jlh.org.

If grant support is not being requested or the organization is not eligible for grant support funding in 2020 – 2021, please type "n/a" in each field.
