The Junior League of Houston, Inc. 2024 – 2025 Community Assistance Grant Application, Part One

This is Part One of the application for a 2024 – 2025 Junior League of Houston Community Assistance Grant.  

In accordance with the Board Policies of the Junior League of Houston, Inc., the Community Assistance Grant Guidelines will be used by the Community Assistance Committee when considering grant requests.  

Please note that The Junior League of Houston, Inc. is using a two-step application process. Application review begins in June with final awards made in January.

Part One of the application is the submission of a Letter of Intent (LOI) and must be completed and electronically submitted as a one to two-page PDF no later than 11:59 PM on Monday, June 3, 2024. The Community Assistance Committee will review the letters and select organizations to submit a full application (Part Two). Invitations will be communicated by the end of July. Applications will not be accepted via mail, fax, hand-delivery or email.

If you are a current Junior League of Houston project, please do not use this form. Please email the Community Vice President at community_vp@jlh.org for a link to the 2025 – 2026 Volunteer and Grant Request Form.

Please address the following items in your one to two-page Letter of Intent:

  • Legal business name
  • Primary contact person, title and contact details
  • Name and location of the project with a brief description
  • Amount requested for the Community Assistance Grant
  • How the proposed project satisfies one or more of the following criteria:
    • Addresses a basic or critical need
    • Funds a pilot program
    • Expands a significant service to the community
  • How the proposed project address one or more of the following focus areas:
    • Children’s Education
    • Mentoring Young Girls/Women
    • Basic Needs

Please attach the following documents to the Letter of Intent:

  • Confirmation of 501(c)(3) status by inclusion of IRS Form 990
  • Audited financial statements from the most recent fiscal year
