Founded in 1925, The Junior League of Houston, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

League members:

Prospective Member Engagement Events

The Junior League of Houston is excited to host two Prospective Member Engagement Events this fall. Prospective members will have the opportunity to meet other women interested in membership. Additionally, current League members will be present to answer questions about the admission process and the overall League member experience in a fun environment.

We welcome prospective members to attend one or both of the engagement events.

Please note: The Thursday, December 7th Engagement Event will be a Community Project event that Prospective members will be able to participate.

Please indicate which event(s) you plan to attend. Attendance at Engagement Events is not mandatory, but we hope you can join!

Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at Kirby Ice House located at 3333 Eastside St., Houston, TX, 77098.

Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. in the Junior League of Houston Ballroom (1811 Briar Oaks Lane, Houston, TX 77027).

I am not able to attend an engagement event.

Prospective Member Open Houses

Prospective members are required to attend one Open House, held at the Junior League of Houston (1811 Briar Oaks Lane, Houston, TX 77027). For those needing sponsor assistance, there will be an opportunity at each in-person Open House to meet, and potentially pair with, a sponsor.

In-Person Prospective Member Open House on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 6:30 p.m.

In-Person Prospective Member Open House on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 6:30 p.m.

Virtual Prospective Member Open House on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 6:30 p.m.

Notes:

* Applications will open on Monday, October 23, 2023, and close on Monday, January 22, 2024. If you have a specific question about membership or the admissions process, please contact Kaliko Veiseh, Admissions Chairman, at 713.871.6666 or Dionella Martinez, Membership Vice President.

* For those requiring sponsor assistance, prospective members will have the opportunity at both Open Houses to meet a potential sponsor. Sponsor assistance may also be requested on the Member Application.
