The Healthcare Providers course (Two Night Course) - Wednesday, March 2 AND Wednesday, March 9. You must attend both classes to receive certification.
Join us for CPR Class at The Junior League of Houston in the Boardroom. The Junior League of Houston is happy to offer the BLS Healthcare Provider CPR course through the American Heart Association. According to the American Heart Association, the appropriate audience for this course is healthcare providers such as healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in- and out- of hospital settings. This audience includes nurses, physicians, EMS professionals, students in a healthcare program at a university/college, allied health professionals (physical therapists, occupational therapist, athletic trainers, etc.) and others who may need training in basic life support skills. This two night course is designed to provide a variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life threatening emergencies, provide CPR to adults, children and infants, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe and effective manner. At the conclusion of the course, a written and skills test is administered to each student and must be passed by participants in order to become CPR certified.
We do not teach first aid. The class is free and in English only. All participants must bring and show a photo ID to class. Please, no children are allowed in the classroom. Class will begin promptly at the posted times; once the video has started, you will not be able to enter the classroom, and will need to reschedule.
Students who are sick or not feeling well are not able to work on or with the manikins and should re-schedule if any health issues apply.
