One hundred years ago, our journey began with twelve incredible women who saw a need in the community and came together to address it. Every year since, with every provisional class, women who believe in our mission have joined the Junior League of Houston. Our members are change agents who understand how training and collaboration can make a lasting impact on Houston. The Junior League of Houston, Inc. is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

League members:

• Have access to a broad range of volunteer opportunities
• Learn more about the community the League serves
• Have the opportunity to network and make lasting friendships

Please enter the below information to be added to our Prospective Member Updates for the 2026 – 2027 admissions process. Updates will include information about the Prospective Member Open Houses, Prospective Member Engagement Events and application reminders. 

The Junior League of Houston is excited to host two Prospective Member Engagement Events this fall. Prospective members will have the opportunity to meet other women interested in membership. Additionally, current League members will be present to answer questions about the admission process and reflect on their League member experience in a fun environment.

We welcome prospective members to attend one (or both!) of the engagement events.

Community Service Focused

Prospective members are required to attend one Prospective Member Open House, held at the Junior League of Houston (1811 Briar Oaks Lane, Houston, Texas 77027). For those needing sponsor assistance, there will be an opportunity at each in-person Open House to meet, and potentially pair with, a sponsor. A virtual format will be offered during the Monday, January 11, 2027 Open House. Virtual registration will be available closer to the event date.

* Applications will open on Monday, October 26, 2026, and close on Monday, January 25, 2027. * For those requiring sponsor assistance, prospective members will have the opportunity at both Open Houses to meet a potential sponsor. Sponsor assistance may also be requested on the Member Application.
