The Junior League of Houston, Inc.'s 2027 – 2028 Volunteer and Budget Request Form is for those organizations that are a part of the League's Community Program. The form is due electronically by Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

Volunteer Request/Program Support

Current Placement: Description of each continuing placement opportunity available to League volunteers, including the current number and requested number of volunteers for each placement.

Program Support: Defined as the dollars necessary to sustain the League project at the agency. Program support is related to League volunteer activities.

For example: Agency requests $400 to support background checks of 80 volunteers, which is $5 per volunteer as the background check costs $5 per person. Please be as specific as possible. Please specifically note any costs associated with food that volunteers eat during their time at the agency or t-shirt/attire that volunteers must wear.

If the organization is not requesting program support, please type "n/a" in the field.

New Placement Opportunity (if applicable): Describe the new placement(s) opportunity for the League. Please include number of volunteers requested/needed to accomplish the placement(s), the time frame for the placement(s) and Program Support needed per placement(s).

Grant Support Narrative

Grant support is defined as the dollars not necessary to sustain the League volunteers and placement(s) at the agency. These requests can be related or unrelated to the activities of League volunteers.

All salary requests should be considered as Grant Support. If you are interested in a salary request, please contact the Community Vice President for further information.

Please note: to be eligible to receive grant support, an organization must be a Junior League of Houston community project for at least three years. If you have any questions about your organization's eligibility to receive grant funding, please contact the Community Vice President.

If grant support is not being requested or the organization is not eligible for grant support funding in 2027 – 2028, please type "n/a" in each field.

Name of specific program/project for which funding is requested.

Specific amount of funding being requested from The Junior League of Houston, Inc. Type in numerical format, with no dollar sign or commas and no additional information. If no grant funding is being requested, please type 0.

Budget (in narrative format) for specific program to be funded. Please be as specific as possible. For instance, please include the specific number of individuals the amount will fund or the quantity of an item being requested.

Other sources of support or amounts already committed to the program/project. Please be as specific as possible.

Is the grant needed by a certain date? If so, why? Please note, funds are disbursed between June 2027 and April 2028. The Junior League of Houston will do its best to fund in the month requested but cannot guarantee requested timing.

Salary requests are considered Grant Support. All supplemental information, as found on the "Salary Questionnaire" form that you will receive once you have contacted the Community Vice President should be completed and submitted as a single PDF.
